Missions

The Section of Integrated Planning handles all administrative and staff operations of the Center, applications and progress tracking of operation plans, management of the decision support system, amendments to project implementation strategies, quality control, and the integration and promotion of achievements.

Key tasks

Assist the Ministry of Economic Affairs in implementing cross-agency integration and operation mechanisms for green energy

• Track and report the progress of green energy technology and industrial innovation and implementation programs.
• Support the Ministry of Economic Affairs in organizing related meetings and coordinating green energy-related issues.

Integrate and promote achievements of Promotion Plan; increase the awareness of the people, and enhance confidence in investments in the industry

• Organize forums, seminars, and other promotional activities.
• Produce policy promotion materials, including videos and graphic summaries of achievements.
• O&M of the official website, information system, and data sharing platform.

Provide recommendations and decision support for green energy promotion strategies,  to facilitate policy implementation and resolve issues and/or communication gaps in green energy development.

Missions

Track the progress and identify issues of industry promotion work related to energy generation, energy saving, energy storage, and system integration. Facilitate industrial cooperation among related institutions; promote private investments.

Key tasks

Promotion of the offshore wind power industry

• Track the progress of wind power generation projects.
• Facilitate collaborations among public associations and policy promotion projects.
• International policy analysis and promotion planning for commercialization and zonal development of offshore wind power in Taiwan.
• Visit international industries; host international conferences.
• Track the integration status of the supply chain for national and international fleets in the maritime engineering localization work, as well as training courses for local maritime engineering talents (including number of trainees and corresponding job placements) in the offshore wind industry.

Promotion of the solar power industry

• Track the progress of solar power projects, current deployment status and local government demonstration sites.
• International policy analysis and promotion planning for the industrialization in Taiwan.
• Inventory decommissioning schedules of solar power equipment.

Promotion of other energy generation industries

• Track the progress and current deployment status of geothermal energy, biogas, and biomass power generation projects of government agencies.
• Analysis of international policies (other than offshore wind power and solar energy) and the promotion planning for industrialization in Taiwan.

Missions

Draw blueprints for forward-looking technology R&D; manage and evaluate resource allocation of green energy-related master plans; assist in the establishment of linking mechanisms among the industry, academia, and research institutions; strengthen the linkage between midstream and downstream R&D and the industry.

Draw blueprints and recommendations of the technology development strategy for Taiwan’s green energy industry

• Analysis of key green energy technologies
  • Inventory and analyze green energy science and research projects of government agencies; collect related public opinion information; evaluate the technical requirements of the green energy industry.
  • Refer to related APRA-E and DARPA plans to adjust the technical inspection indicators for the main fields.
• Draw blueprints for technology development strategies according to application scenarios

Track and analyze international trends of advanced green energy technology and development strategies of major countries

• Technical review of the green energy industry in Taiwan
  • Review industrial connections of academia and research institutes in technology development, with the help of analysis of foreign green energy industry trends .
• Analysis of international green energy policy and industry technology
  • Analyze the policies, industry trends, and current state of green energy technology development proposed by international and non-profit green energy organizations, as well as by benchmark countries.

Review the performance of green energy technology development projects

• Review and tracking of the performance of green energy technology projects
  • Assist in tasks of strategy planning and review, master plans’ management and evaluation, and decision support, through the operations of the expert team consisted of domestic experts in the energy field from the industry, academia and research institutes.
  • Calibrate with the Board of Science and Technology and the review of mid-term master plans of government agencies, together with formative integration and the O&M and other management and evaluation mechanisms of the “Technology Development Information Platform”, to effectively manage and track the performance of green energy technology projects, to monitor green energy technology development, and to ensure continuous optimization of resource allocation.
• Analysis and promotion of the achievements of green energy technology projects
  • Provide recommendations and plans for green energy technology-related consulting; summarize the results and analysis of the mid-term master plans; produce annual analysis of performance and technical reports in the energy sector; implement energy integration, and improve Taiwan’s green energy technology development strategies.
  • Hold networking seminars for industrial, academic, and research institutes; regularly publish the important results of mid-term master plans to increase public awareness and support of green energy technology development.
